That’s so great that learnt about magic breathing!
I do magic breathing for myself at least once every day just to have a great start and I’ve used it lots with both children and adults.
I especially used it in after-school groups for children who were feeling anxious or really angry and they always felt relaxed and happier once they learnt it.
I’ve never heard of magic breathing, but I use lots of breathing exercises with the people I see! Relaxing your breath sends a message to your body that you are safe, which helps with feelings of worry or nervousness.
One of my favourites is called “square breathing”. Look around you and find a square shape, like a window or a piece of paper. Imagine tracing along each side of the square as you breathe. Follow one edge as you breathe in, follow the next edge as you breathe out, and keep going for a few nice deep breaths.
