That’s a really great question! Honestly, I kind of became a scientist without realising. I was studying in psychology and all of a sudden working in it and didn’t even realise the research work I was doing counts as science. Once I did what kept me going and keeps me inspired is the people I do the research for- people with dementia and their carers. I feel inspired to do work that could help them.
Great question. For me, I really enjoyed learning about human behaviour and working out why people did things the way they did. That sparked an interest in finding out more about humans and then one thing led to another 🙂
