I absolutely love my job! Although police corruption in the UK is very, very rare, it is really important to me to research who these people are and to make sure that there is no place in the police for them. Sometimes this work can be frustrating but it is incredibly rewarding to think that I might be making a difference in a good way.
I really enjoy my job- every day is different! Sometimes I’m interviewing people with dementia and their family and friends, sometimes I’m presenting at festivals or doing activities with kids, or I’m using computer software to analyse data on alcohol misuse. I get to write articles, give presentations, and sometimes work with patients and the general public.
Basically I get to have my hand in so many pots so I never get bored. It’s definitely tough at times juggling everything but getting to try so many different things helps me figure out the stuff I want to stick to.
I really love my job. Although it has some stressful days, I find the work to be rewarding and exciting. There is always something new to do or achieve and everyday can be unique. I love playing around with the data collected from research and trying to work out the reasons why humans behave in certain ways.
