My answer is the same as Fay, Hannah and Jamie. I don’t use hypnotherapy in my area of research, however, I have heard interesting things relating to its effectiveness.
Unfortunately I’ve never had the opportunity to use hypnotherapy myself buuuuuut…I saw someone else do it with a patient. It was a fascinating experience. Felt kinda unreal to watch but it really helped them.
Not as a psychologist, but I have as a patient for anxiety many years ago! I think it can be really effective, but it has to be delivered by someone who is trained properly. It is also important to know that it might not always be the best tool for everyone, and something else might be more effective.
