I love being able to research a variety of topics! You can be involved in projects which are examining completely different things which enables you to broaden your areas of interest.

I love researching previous papers in my area, working out what the gaps are and then conducting my own studies to address them. It’s very satisfying and challenging.

I love that everyday can be so different to the last. I thoroughly enjoy running research (e.g., collecting data, analysing the data, working out what the findings mean) and thinking of some exciting research topics/ideas to look at in the future. I love working with great people who are motivated and talented too!

I enjoy having the tools to answer big world questions through research projects. I love being able to chat with my colleagues and friends about these ideas, only to discover new ways of working together. Through teaching my students, I also learn a lot from them and how they think, which helps me with my own research as well. Most of all, I love my job because it challenges me to think about the world more deeply and keeps me on my toes!

Most of my research studies revolve around marginalised groups and the thing I love most about my job is that I get to use my research as a platform to give voice to people whose voices are often unheard.

I love being able to do so many different things. I’m still at a stage where I’m trying to figure out what kind of work I want to do and maybe even do lots of different things so the fact that I can do research, work with patients, write articles, create festival activities, and give lots of talks and presentations is really helpful.

      It never gets boring!

That I get to work with lots of different people, and hear their stories. I also enjoy knowing that on some small level I may be making a positive difference in someone’s life.
