For me Psychology is about understanding who we are and why. Psychology can be a therapy, but it can also be about understanding who we are as human beings

Psychology is the study of the mind – how we think, feel, behave. The area I work in is called “clinical psychology” which involves working with people with mental health difficulties (like depression or anxiety) to help them feel better and have a better quality of life. To do this, I use talking therapy.

I think Psychology is the study about the human mind – we want to understand why people act the way they do and why they have certain thoughts and feelings. Sometimes, we apply this knowledge to help people feel better about themselves.

I think what people define as psychology can vary greatly depending on what area they are working in. For me, psychology is about researching people and why they behave the way they do. It’s about understanding what factors could be contributing to their behaviours and how we could stop people from engaging in behaviours that harm themselves and others.

For me, psychology is all about understanding personality and trying to find ways to improve life for people. I study narcissism and also online gambling. So, for me it is good to get to know what makes somebody tick and to try to find ways to intervene to stop someone becoming an addict.

Psychology is the science of mind and behaviour. I work in forensic psychology – specifically looking at police and police investigations which is a really interesting area!

I think psychology is how we understand individual people’s minds and behaviour, different groups thoughts and behaviour, how different people and different groups interact with each other, and how all of this can impact humanity as a whole.
