I love it! It’s great fun learning about why people behave they way they do and it gives you a better understanding of the world that you can also sometimes apply in your everyday life.

I love being a psychologist! Similar to Jamie, I enjoy learning about people and why they behave the way they do. I also love the variety of tasks, so some days you will be conducting experiments, other days analysing the findings, going to conferences, writing up studies for papers.

Great question. Every day can be so different. I love learning about human behaviour and why people do the things they do. Some days can be totally filled up with collecting data (running research, analysing findings), whereas other days can include interviews, idea generation and writing up findings for publication.

I think its a really fun job. Some of my job is teaching, which I love. And the other part is my research, which I really enjoy because I get to ask new questions about people and be the first to know the answer. I also love the science communiaction part of my job where I get to tell people all about the work I do.

Honestly- I can’t believe I get to do this everyday. It’s my dream job. When I was younger I used to see these cool people on TV. Psychologists that talk to people and get to do research in their labs and write books that help people and I now I get to actually do it myself!

I love that there’s so much a psychologist can do- lots of different things, and it’s never boring.

Very varied! No two weeks are the same. That can make it really exciting and interesting. But I also find it very rewarding, particularly when someone I am working with thanks me for listening to them about their challenges and understanding them.
